Council Neglect & Action
"Its a ancient part of our towns history, a meeting point, a place I used to sit on the steps of as a child while waiting on mum coming out the bank and where we'd sit and and eat a treat from the bakers. The fact it has lay broken for so long while the council waste thousands of pounds on that concrete pad nobody wanted, sorry bruce square, is abhorrent. "

"Dunfermline is a Royal Burgh and the cross is an integral marker of that honour. Perhaps the position of the cross should be moved as they have in Inverkeithing to an area where it will be appreciated. The position its in the High St, is surprising a vehicle hasn't damaged it "

General Importance
"I am born and bred Dunfermline. The cross is part of my childhood. It’s about time it was brought back to its former glory. Worry about its position in the high street though. It’s likely to be vandalised again. Anyone caught vandalising in Dunfermline should be fined and made to participate In the process of repair. "
